Barni Strausbaugh, Agent/CEO
Barni attended Illinois College and graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science. He has over 35 years of experience servicing insureds throughout San Diego County. Barni has received many awards for his dedication and outstanding achievements in the insurance industry. He is also a father of two and enjoys spending time with his sons.

Brooke Dunn, Agent/CSR
Brooke is a long-time member of the PVI team, having joined us in 2005. She earned her California Property and Casualty License in March of 2000.

As Personal Lines Account Manager, Brooke has the opportunity to utilize her vast knowledge of the insurance business, in general, and of the fifty carriers, in particular, with which PVI is affiliated. What this means to you is that you have the best qualified person in your court looking out for you. Have a home that's difficult to insure, such as a high-brush zone or previous claims? Carmen Rodriguez, Agent/CSR
Carmen has been an agent with PVI since 2011. She earned her Personal and Casualty Insurance License in 2006, after only four months working in the industry! (Just a little hint about how Carmen achieves her goals.) Although Carmen has a good working knowledge of Commercial Insurance, she specializes in Personal Lines, which includes: Homeowners, Auto, Classic Auto, RV, Boat and Personal Umbrella. In other words, a little something for everyone!

When talking with Carmen, one of the first things you notice is her passion for relationships. In fact, her favorite part of her job is being able to create lasting relationships with her customers. She accomplishes this is by, first, always taking the time to truly listen to her customers, and then doing her best to fulfill their needs. In the process, she goes to great lengths to explain, in detail, insurance issues that initially can seem quite complex. In return, she has earned a high level of respect and trust from her PVI customers, and they are quick to praise her strong work ethic.

Justina Strausbaugh, Agent/CSR
Justina has been with PVI for almost 14 years, starting as a part-time employee while still attending Valley Center High School. In 2005, she became a licensed insurance agent and has since worked her way up to Manager of the Commercial Lines Department.

Justina specializes in Business Insurance, which includes Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Business Auto, Surety Bonds, Group Health Insurance and more. With her vast experience and extensive knowledge, Justina excels at tailoring insurance policies to fit "your" individual coverage needs, and most importantly, your budget! As an independent agent, Justina is very selective regarding insurance carriers and programs offered, to insure her customers receive the best available coverage. In fact, it is a source of pleasure and pride to be able to put you, the customer, first!

Maricruz Avelar, CSR
Maricruz has been a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for PVI since 2012. Prior to that, she graduated from Cal State San Marcos with a Bachelor's Degree in Literature and Writing Studies.

Although Maricruz is one of the newer members of PVI, she immediately fit right in and was one of the Team! In fact, Maricruz could qualify as Team Cheerleader! She has a way about her that just gets people excited. Since she typically is the first point of contact for our office, who better to greet our current and potential customers?
